“ADAMSON JR., WILLIAM E. “DUKE”, passed away at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, AR on Oct. 20, 2011 surrounded and embraced by his family, after courageously battling complications from congestive heart failure. Formerly a Lake Mary and Sanford resident, Duke was a dynamic, business and civic leader who will be remembered for his gregarious and outgoing personality and savvy business leadership. He will be deeply missed by his adoring wife of 51 years, Donna, of Bella Vista, AR, his three sons, Brent R. Adamson, Lake Mary, Brian L. Adamson, Casselberry, FL and Aaron D. Adamson, Memphis, TN. A modern-day poet, author and private pilot, Duke leaves behind a legacy of successful business ownership where he owned and operated the Rich Plan Food company of Sanford, FL during the 1970’s and 80’s. He is preceded in death by his father, William E. Sr. and mother, Vivian, brother, Phillip, sister, Irma Jean, brother Joseph and grandson, Blake. He is survived by his sister Ruth, Chicago, IL, brother Stanley, Houston, TX. A celebration of his life will take place in Lake Mary on Jan. 21st, 2012. “Joseph V. Adamson of Round Lake Beach
A Mass of the Ressurrection for Joseph V. Adamson, 55, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Round Lake.
Mr. Adamson passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000 at home. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Libertyville.
Joseph was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for approximately 15 years. He proudly served his country from 1964 to 1968 in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, receiving the Accommodation Medal. He worked for International Harvester in Libertyville for 20 years and then for Medline Industries in Mundelein for seven years. Joseph was a devoted father and grandfather.
He leaves his wife, Nancy (nee Hall) of Round Lake Beach; daughter, Susan Adamson of Round Lake Beach; son, Paul (Corinne) Adamson of Round Lake; grandchildren, Andrew, Emilee and Chelsea, brothers, Duke (Donna) Adamson of Orlando, Fla. and Stanley (Marge) Adamson of Houston, Texas; sister, Ruthie Haas of Orlando; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Vivian Adamson; and daughter, Catherine Adamson, in 1984.

Candeltrees graced the front of the altar, decorated with gladioll and carnations for the formal marriage of Miss Marjorie Loucile Stewart and Sgt. Stanley Richard Adamson at 8 p.m. Feb. 8 in Westminster Presbyterian Church. The choir loft was garlanded with greenery surrounding tapers.
Mrs. Charles Harrison at the organ accompanied Bill Keltner in selections of “Because” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Stewart, 314 Conet Drive, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Porteous, Round Lake, Ill.
Formally gowned in pure silk faille and peau do ange lace, the bride was lovely when escorted and presented in marriage by her father. The molded empire bodice was designed with bateau neckline and slender tapered bracelet length sleeves. Appliques of peau de ange lace, accented with bridal pearls, encircled the neckline, extending over the shoulder line and touched the sleeves at wrist line. A delicate faille band encircled the empire waistline above the A-line skirt which flowed the gentle fullness into a sweep train. A train length mantilla of English net with an elaborate border of re-embroidered peaude ange lace framed her face and flowed softly into a chapel train. She carried a crescent bouquet of gardenias.
Mrs. Harold Stewart, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. Mrs. Mike Stewart, also sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Robert Walters were bridesmatrons. The attendant wore cranberry velvet glove-length dresses with empire bodices, bateau necklines and tapered bracelet length sleeves. Their headpieces were cranberry colored circlets of moline held by velvet bows. They carried bouquets of pink carnations, each centered with a deep red forever yours rose.
Clifford Avens of Oklahoma was the best man. John Lieman of New Orleans and Charles Frentzel of Missouri were groomsmen and Harold Stewart and Mike Stewart, brothers of the bride, were ushers. Kenneth and Kelly Stewart, nephews of the bride, were candelighters.
The bride’s mother wore a light pink silk A-line dress with a pink lace coat and matching accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a green three-piece knit suit with matching accessories; both wore pink sweetheart rose corsages.
The reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Mrs. Bill Weathford registered guests. Miss Susan Bukala of Waco and Miss Sandra Robbins of San Antonio served. The wedding confection was all white, separated between tiers with columns, and decorated with sugar bells. Punch, nuts and mints were also served. The table was set with crystal and silver appointments and centered with pink gladioli and white lace over cranberry.
For a wedding trip to Ruidoso, N.M., the bride wore a white wool knit ensemble, matching accessories and a cymbidium orchid corsage.
A graduate of Odessa High School, the bride attended Odessa College and graduated from Texas Tech, Lubbock. She will be employed by the Big Spring Independent School District. The bridegroom graduated from Round Lake, Ill. High School and attended Howard County Junior College, Big Spring. he is stationed with the Air Force at Webb AFB in Big Spring where the couple will reside at 3503 Airport St.
