“Howard Eugene Drake Funeral Services Held
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Ray-Burnett funeral home for Howard Eugene Drake who died Thursday at Lake Villa and who formerly resided in Libertyville. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
He was born May 25, 1875, at Greenfield. He was married to Anna Kunke on April 30, 1912, at Libertyville.
His wife and the following children survive: Frances Beyer, Round Lake; Agnes Westphal, Round Lake; Marjorie Walker, Libertyville; Anna Mae Mars, Libertyville; Elizabeth Jacobsen, Libertyville; John, Howard Jr., and James. Two stepsons, Henry and Walter Kuehl; a stepfather, G. A. Rowton, Palmyra; a sister, Mrs. Tura DeMunbrum, Palmyra and six grandchildren also survive.”

According to the Lake County Independent (Libertyville IL) Sunday, Decmeber 16, 1910, page 1:
“Circuit court met on Monday after adjournment Friday evening: There was little of importance to come before the court. Once divorce was granted, that of Mrs. Anna Kuehl against Herman Kuehl for desertion. The decree was not contested and the petition was granted.”
According to the Independent Register, Thursday, July 15, 1954:
“Anna M. Drake, 68, Buried Saturday at Lakeside Cemetery
Funeral rites for Mrs. Anna M. Drake, 68, who died at her home at 404 First St., Libertyville Wednesday night, July 14, were conducted Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Libertyville. Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery.
Born Dec. 20, 1885, in Park Ridge, Mrs. Drake had spent most of her life in Libertyville. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of St. John’s Church.
Mrs. Drake was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in June 1950.
Survivors include five sons, Walter of Zion, Howard and Henry of Round Lake, and James and John, Libertyville; five daughters, Mrs. Frances Bayer (sic), Mrs. Agnes Westphal and Mrs. Betty Jacobsen all of Round lake, and Mrs. Marjorie Walker and Mrs. Anna Mae Mors, both of Libertyville; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Francke, Waukegan; and four brothers, Albert Kunke, Waukegan, and Edward, William and Fred Kunke all of Libertyville.
Friends called at the Ray-Burnett Funeral Home on West Park Ave. Libertyville.”

Elizabeth “Betty” Uselman, 75, of Fort Collins, Colo., formally of Libertyville, died Aug. 9 in Fort Collins. She was born Aug. 17, 1924 in Libertyville, Ill., the daughter of Howard and Anna (nee Kunke) Drake. She graduated from Libertyville Central High School, married Irving “Ernie” Jacobsen Aug. 18, 1945. She later married Frank Uselman Dec. 21, 1962, in Aurora, Colo., who died Feb. 13, 1977. A former resident of Aurora, Colo., she had been a resident of Fort Collins for six years. Mrs. Uselman was homemaker and in her later years, she worked at the Excelsior Convent in Aurora, Colo. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, Colo.
Survivors include a son, Randy L. Jacobsen of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Linda S. Kinzli of Libertyville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Aug. 16 from Allnutt Funeral Service, Ft. Collins, Colorado, with Pastor Rick Carlson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elizabeth Uselman Memorial Fund c/o Allnutt Funeral Service.”

“James M. Drake
James M. Drake, 74, of Libertyville, IL passed away suddenly Saturday, March 16, 2002 at his home.
He was born November 6, 1927 in Libertyville, where he remained a resident all his life.
He was a 1946 graduate of Libertyville Township High School and was a US Army Veteran, having served in Japan following World War II. Jim was a member of the Libertyville VFW Post #8741 and a retired employee of the Frank G. Hough Co.-International Harvester Corp. in Libertyville.
Following retirement he enjoyed life as a ranger at Pine Meadows Golf Club in Mundelein.
Surviving are his wife Delores “Dee” Drake; two children, Timothy (Mary) Drake of Gages Lake and Pamela (Tom) Schmidt of Wildwood; four grandchildren, Randy, Danny, Derek and David; and one sister, Anna Mae Mors of Libertyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Anna (nee Kunke) Drake, by his brothers, John and Howard Drake and Walter and Henry Kuehl and his sisters, Marge, Fran, Agnes and Betty.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville, with Deacon Robert Matthews of St. Joseph Parish, officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
