  • Husband: Harvey K. Booth, son of Andrew and Hester (Hurd) Booth, brother of Marshall H. Booth who married Louis Huson, and sister of Perlina who married Coe S. Reeder; Harvey married Mary Amelia Brown on September 1, 1844.

    1. Flora Amelia (Booth) Gage born October 5, 1845 in Starkey County, NY; married Frank Llewellyn Gage; died April 26, 1930 in Elgin, Kane County, IL; buried in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin, Cook County, IL.
    2. Mary Louise Booth born January 2, 1849 in, Fort Hill, Lake County, IL. Mary married a man by the name Daniels.
    3. Sarah L. Booth born February 5, 1851 in Fort Hill, Lake County, IL

Additional Information:

According to the 1850 Federal Census, the Booth family farmed in Wauconda Township with Harvey’s father, Andrew Booth. After the death of Mary, Harvey married (2) Cordelia A. Gale on January 3, 1856 in Richmond, McHenry County, IL. They had the following children: Merritt C. (1858-1858) buried in Fort Hill Cemetery, Round Lake, Lake County, IL; Nellie (Booth) Thomas (1862-1944, married Hamilton Abijah Thomas buried Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock, McHenry County, IL; Florence L. (Booth) Garrison (1876-1934) married William Orlando Garrison; and Andrew Marshall Booth (1878-1960) married Minnie Wagner and buried in Union Cemetery in Crystal Lake, IL. In 1870 Harvey was a retail dry good merchant living in Richmond, McHenry Township, IL. He was also a school teacher in Starkey, NY and in Richmond, IL. Harvey died on May 14, 1885 and buried in the Volo Cemetery, Lake County, IL.
