BRODHEAD – Mrs. Elizabeth M. Ames, age 61, of Brodhead, died on Saturday, January 31, 1976, at a Amdison (sic) hospital, after an extended illness. She was born in Round Lake, Illinois, September 3, 1914, the daughter of Charles Joseph and Vera (Howard) Davis. She was employed at Sentry Foods in Brodhead for the past 19 years. Mrs. Ames was a member of the Brodhead United Methoidst (sic) Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her sister, Elinor (Mrs. Sherwood) Deppen of Rockford; her children Leaman, Chicago, Mrs. Clifford (Vera) Anderson of Baraboo, Robert, Rapid City, South Dakota, Mrs. Alan (Barbara) Bunner, Madison her step-mother, Mrs. Minnie Davis of Round Lake; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will beheld at the UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Brodhead, at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3. The Rev. Amos Shimko officiating. THE NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 503 W. Beloit St., Orfordville, is in charge of the arrangements. There will be no visitation. The family suggest that flowers be omitted.”

Bus was the loving husband ot Marietta, nee Davis, his wife of 56 years, whom he married on June 29, 1946 at Round Lake Community Church; proud father of Charles (Karen), Ronald (Christine), Gail (Stephen) Kessler, Susan (Patrick) Klemens, Daniel (Lysbeth) and Karen marie; loving grandfather to Jeremy (Lisa) Eggert, Catherine Eggert, John Eggert, Marcie Kessler, Amanda Kessler, Jennifer Kessler, Michael Klemens and Jon Klemens.
