According to the Chicago Tribune (Chicago IL) Sunday, January 7, 1945, page 28:

“The Rev. Hans Iverson. – Services for the Rev. Hans Iverson, 83, an assistant pastor of Norwegian Lutheran churches in the Chicago area, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday in the chapel at 3834 Irving Park rd.  The Rev. Mr. Iverson, a native of Norway, died Friday in Norwegian Deaconess hospital.  He is survived by his widow, Margaret, of Long Lake, Lake county; two sons, Harry and Richard, and a daughter, Mrs. Marie Meinke.”

   Edward J. Meinke, 37 years old, a semi-professional baseball team manager, brother of Robert Meinke, a player on the Cincinnati Reds, died yesterday at St. Luke’s hospital following a long attack of pneumonia.  At the time of his death he was the manager of the Glenview team of semi-professional ball players.  He was a son of Frank Meinke, a member of the old Detroit club.”
