“Kasper – Roy E. age 73 of Osakis, Minn., formerly of New Brighton.  Died Tuesday.  Survived by wife Rose, 1 son Fred, 2 daughters Delores and Darlene, and 2 sisters.  Reviewal Thursday Nov. 23 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Mueller-Bies Funeral Home 650 N. Dale St., St. Paul.  Funeral Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Osakis.”

According to the Daily Sentinel (Woodstock IL) Monday, June 5, 1978, page 6:

“CHARLOTTE READ – WAUKEGAN – Mrs. Charlotte Read, 77, Waukegan, formerly of Round Lake Beach, grandmother of Mrs. George (Jean) Arnold of Lake In The Hills, died Thursday, June 1.  She was born January 5, 1901, in Dubuque, Iowa, and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, in 1973, and a daughter, Jean Marie, in 1943.  A 50-year member and Past Matron of Sorosis Eastern Star Chapter of Grayslake, Mrs. Read had been American Legion Hospital Chairman at North Chicago Veterans Administration Hospital; past president of American Legion Auxiliary of Round Lake; member of World War I VFW Auxiliary of Lake County; and member of Calvary Presbyterian Church of Round Lake.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Schauer, Chicago; another granddaughter; and six great-grandchildren.  Eastern Star services were held Sunday, with services today in Chicago.  Burial was in Acacia Park cemetery, Chicago.”
