Bauer (1882-1969) on March 14, 1904 in Chicago, Cook County, IL; George and Edith divorced between 1920-1930; George died June 27, 1943 in Round Lake, Lake County, IL (See section pertaining to George Tyler Cleveland buried in the Fort Hill Cemetery)
- Mother: Edith A. (Bauer) Cleveland born October 24, 1882 in Lake County, IL, daughter of Frederick Bauer (1857-1902) and Esther Elizabeth (Brown) Bauer (1860-1896); Edith died June 2, 1969; buried in Grant Cemetery, Ingleside, Lake County, IL
According to the McHenry Plaindealer (McHenry IL) Friday, June 20, 1969, page:
“DEATH
We were sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Edith Cleveland of Round Lake. She was Mrs. Marge Schmeltzer’s mother. Mr. and Mrs. Schmeltzer are former residents of Spring Grove. Mr. Schmeltzer was manager of a local lumber company for about fifteen years. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to them.”
