Slosser Jr., 90, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Victory Lakes in Lindenhurst, IL.  He was born October 29, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI to Esther and George Slosser Sr.  George was past commander of American Legion in Round Lake Post 1170 and was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Round Lake Park.  George loved to bowl and enjoyed fishing.  George is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty, and his sons Jack (Leslie) Slosser and Richard (Audrey) Slosser.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his 2 brothers, and 1 sister.  A visitation and service is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2017 from 1 pm until 2 pm with a service commencing at 2pm at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, 410 E.    “Marvin C. Slosser, 72 of Round Lake, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at Condell Medical, Libertyville.
   He was born on March 26, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI to George and Esther (nee Capito) Slosser.
   Marvin was a foreman at Fiat-Allis in Deerfield after retiring from Fiat-Allis he worked at Winchester House in Libertyville in the maintenance department.
   Mr. Slosser was a member of the American Legion, Post#1170 of Round Lake.  He was also a veteran serving in the Army during the Korean War.  He loved to fish and was an avid Cubs fan.
   Marvin leaves his wife Marlene (nee Grenn) of Ellentown, FL, children: James Slosser of Ingleside; Linda (Dave) Pearson of Tomahawk, WI; Carol (Scott Sondergard) Purol of Wildwood; five grandchildren; sister: Marilyn Derkson of Silver Lake, WI; brother: George (Betty) Slosser of Spring Hill, FL.
   He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Frederick.
   Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030 with Rev. Lisle J. Kaufman of Calvary Presbyterian Church officiating.

   Marilyn Ruth Derkson; 76 years old of Silver Lake, WI passed away Sunday May 4, 2014 at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington, WI.  She was born July 13, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of the late George and Esther (Capito) Slosser, living in Round Lake, IL, later moving to Spring Hill, FL and Bristol, WI before settling in Silver Lake, WI in 2000.  Before her retirement, Marilyn had worked over 15 years at Baxter Laboratories as an Assistant Manager.  Marilyn enjoyed: knitting, cooking, watching cooking programs, and taking care of her family.  On June 16, 1956 she married Lawrence Derkson at St. Joseph Church, Round Lake, IL.
   Survivors include: her husband of 58 years Larry; five children: Steven (Sandy) Derkson of Antioch, IL, Jeffrey (Lisa) Derkson of Oak Creek, WI, Brian (Karen) Derkson of Genoa City, WI, Neal Derkson of Burlington, WI, and Dale Derkson of Salem, WI; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother George (Betty) Slosser of Grayslake, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by two brothers: Marvin and Fred Slosser.

   Age 63.  Passed away at the Burlington Memorial Hospital May 6, 1974.  Born Feb. 4, 1911 in Milwaukee.  Mr. Capito had lived at route 2, Burlington for the past nine years.  He was married to Othelia Quindt in Milwaukee, March 30, 1940.  He had been employed with the International Harvester, Milwaukee.  He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Burlington.  Surviving are his wife, Othelia, three sons, Donald of Denver, Colo., Kenneth and David of Route 2, Burlington, one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Karen) Piefer of Route 2, Burlington; three grandchildren; five brothers, Walter, Louis, Herbert, Clarence and Howard, all of Milwaukee.  He was preceded in death by his twin sons.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 2 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church,  Burlington, the Rev.
