According to the Saint Paul Glove (Saint Paul MN) Monday, February 28, 1887, page 4:
“John Thrall died yesterday afternoon, age 70 years. Funeral from his late residence, 510 Twenty-third avenue north, Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. Mr. Thrall was taken with a stroke of paralysis Saturday afternoon while going out to feed his horse. He had just eaten dinner and seemed in excellent healthy. He lingered until 3 o’clock yesterday in an insensible condition, when death came”

“AMBROSE THRALL
Ambrose Thrall, 80, 347 “O” street N.E., pioneer Minneapolis resident, was buried today in Sunset Memorial park following funeral services at the O.E. Larson mortuary, 2301 Central avenue. Mr. Thrall was born at Sparta, Wis., and came to Minneapolis when nine years old. He was one of the founders of Vanderbilt Memorial church and was a member of Bethany Presbyterian church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary Thrall, two sons, Robert and E. E. Thrall; a daughter, Lillian; and nine grandchildren.”
