According to the Chicago Tribune (Chicago IL) Wednesday, June 18, 1947, page 34:
“Abram B. Combs
Services for Abram B. Combs, 74, retired Lake county farmer and vice president of the First National Bank, Round Lake, will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow in the Round Lake Community church. Mr. Combs died Monday on his farm, Burr Oak, two miles east of Round Lake. He had lived on this farm all of his life. Surviving are his widow, Maud, and two brothers.”

According to the Lake County Independent, January 17, 1902:
“Old Resident Dead
Wm. T. Combs, an old resident of Lake county, died Monday morning at 5:30 a.m. at his home in Fort Hill, after an illness of about a year.
He was seventy years of age and had lived in Lake county about forty years.
Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Abe, William and Bond.
Funeral was held Thursday from Fort Hill church, Rev. W. E. Toll, of Waukegan, officiating.”
According to the Lake County Independent, December 25, 1903:
“J. H. Miller, of McHenry, placed a monument in the Fort Hill cemetery grounds in memory of W. T. Combs and for little C. B. Combs.”
