According to the Waukegan News Sun (Waukegan IL) Wednesday, April 30, 1930, page 2:
“Benjamin Martin
Funeral services for Benjamin Martin, 45, of Round Lake, who died of a stroke Monday evening, will be held from the St. Joseph church at Round Lake Thursday morning at 9 o’clock, central standard time. Burial will take place at Wauconda.
The deceased is survived by the widow, Mrs. Cora Martin and the following children, Mrs. Viviain Adamson of Libertyville, Cecille, Katherine and Lawrence of Round Lake.”
According to the McHenry Plaindealer (McHenry IL) Thursday, May 1, 1930, page 8:
“BEN MARTIN
Ben Martin, about 47 years old, died suddenly at his home near Round Lake Monday night. He is survived by his wife and five children. Clarence Martin of this city is a brother.
Funeral services were held at Round Lake at 10 o’clock this Thursday morning with burial at Wauconda.”

Catherine Elizabeth Granberg, age 80, beloved wife for 62 years of Charles F. Granberg; loving mother of Coralyn (Ronald) Peters, Charles J. (Joanne), Ben (Kathleen), Cathy (Kurt, C.F.D.) Janus, Michael Granberg, C.P.D., Mary (Mike, ret. C.P.D.) Roach, also the late Frank Granberg; cherished grandmother of 16; and great-grandmother of nine. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend to many. She retired from the State of Illinois Attorney General’s Office. She had also worked at the Uptown Chicago Commission and the Edgewater Beach Hotel. Member of the Sauganash Womens Club and Queen of All Saints Over 50’s Club. Mrs. Granberg was an avid reader, gardner and crossword aficionada. Born in what is now known as Round Lake, IL on Sept. 17, 1919. Graduate of Grant Comm. H.S., Ingleside, IL,, also attended Truman Jr. College. Funeral Thursday, 9:30 a.m. from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N.
