According to the Antioch News (Antioch IL) Thursday, September 22, 1938, page 8:

“Life-long Resident
of Grayslake, 79, Dies

   Mrs. William H. Smith, 79, a lifelong resident of the Grayslake vicinity, died at St. Therese’s hospital in Waukegan last Sunday.  Services were held Tuesday in the Grayslake Congregational church, with burial in Grant cemetery.  Surviving are her husband, six grandchildren, a great-grandson and a brother, Frank Kapple”

According to the Libertyville Independent (Libertyville IL) Thursday, August 5, 1926, page 6:

“OBITUARY

   Mrs. Isabella Tucker was born Feb. 8, 1865 in Fort Hill, Lake county, and died July 30, 1926, as teh (sic) result of a stroke of paralysis.  She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Kapple, and had been a rsident (sic) of this county all her life.
   She was united in marriage to Geo. Tucker in Chicago, Jan. 13, 1917.  Mr. Tucker passed away March 17, 1917.  One child, Frances, was born to them, but she died October 14, 1898, in the state of Oklahoma.
   She leaves to mourn her loss one sister, Mrs. Agnes T.  Smith, of Grayslake, and on brother, Frank Kapple, of Chicago, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
   She was a member of the Christian church, and practiced her faith during all her long life.
   The funeral services were held last Monday at Round Lake, the Rev. Mr. Jesse conducting the services.  Interment was at Fox Lake cemetery.”

According to the Findagrave memorial of George Beecher Cable (1858-1920) #27038696 by “priscilla ross-fox” and contributed by L. Winslow:

“Suggested edit: George, the son of David and Jane Thomson Cable, was left an orphan in infancy.  His boyhood and youth were spent in Avon Twp. with his maternal grandparents, George and Agnes (Langmuir) Thomson.
   He married Mary Hart Feb. 22, 1882.
   George was a farmer south of Lake Villa until he retired and moved to Grayslake.  he served as a school director for many years.”

According to the Libertyville Independent (Libertyville IL) Thursday, May 6, 1920, page 7 in regards to George Cable:

   “George Beecher Cable was born in Muskegan, Mich., May 24, 1858, and passed away at his home in Grayslake, Ill., April 29, 1920, aged 61 years, 11 months and 5 days.  February 22, 1882 he was united in marriage to mary K. Hart, and to this union one child was born, Henry David Cable, of Grayslake, who with the wife and one sister, Mrs. Ben Hendee, also of Grayslake, with other relatives and many friends survive to mourn his loss.”

According to the Probate Petition for Appointment of Administrator in Muskegon County, MI dated November 29, 1861:

“That David D. Cable late of the Township of Muskegan in the said County of Muskegan departed this life in said Township of Muskegan on Wednesday the thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one… And your petition further shows that the names and residence of the heirs at law of said deceased, and other person interested in his estate, are as follows:

   You are hereby notified that an instrument in writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Frances E. According to the Suburbanite Economist (Chicago IL) Thursday, February 7, 1924, page 1:

SLIPS IN TUB OF BOILING WATER, DIES

   “Mrs. Sophie Kapple, 86 years of age, mother of Frank Kapple, 9533 Longwood Drive, died Wednesday morning.  While letting the hot water run in the tub for a bath, Saturday, Mrs. Kapple slipped and was scalded before the water could be turned off.  She died Monday from the effects of the shock and burns.
   Funeral services were held from the home of her son on Thursday afternoon and the body was taken to Gray’s Lake, Ill. for burial.”

According to the Daily News (Chicago IL) Wednesday, February 6, 1924, page 34:

“KAPPLE – Sophia Thomson Kapple, Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1924, aged 86, survived by twin sister, Mrs. isabelle Rathburn, and 3 children, Mrs. Agnes Smith from Gray’s Lake, Frank Kapple and Mrs. Belle K. Tucker.  Funeral at the home of Frank Kapple, 9533 Longwood drive, Chicago at 11 a. m. Thursday, Feb. 7.  Burial at Fort Hill, Lake county, Illinois.”

According to the Chicago Tribune (Chicago IL) Thursday, February 7, 1924, page 8:

“KAPPLE – Sophia Thomson Kapple, Feb. 6, 1924, age 86 years, survived by twin sister, Mrs. Isabelle Rathbun, mother of Agnes S. Smith of Grays Lake, Delle K. Tucker and Frank Kapple.  Funeral at home of son, 9533 Longwood dr., Thursday, Feb. 7, 11 a. m.   Interment Fort Hill, Lake county, Ill.”
