According to the Chicago Tribune (Chicago IL) Wednesday, May 24, 1961, page 44:

“KOWL – Frank W. Kowl of Round Lake, Ill., beloved husband of Alma.  Resting at MacGillis Funeral home, Round Lake.  Service Thursday, 2 p.m. at Calvary Presbyterian church.  Interment Fort Hill cemetery.”
