According to the McHenry Plaindealer (McHenry IL) Thursday, May 1, 1930, page 8:

“BEN MARTIN – Ben Martin, about 47 years old, died suddenly at his home near Round Lake Monday night.  He is survived by his wife and five children.  Clarence Martin of this city is a brother.  Funeral services were held at Round Lake at 10 o’clock this Thursday morning with burial at Wauconda.”

According to the Chicago Tribune (Chicago IL) Tuesday, July 31, 1945, page 17:

“MARTIN – Geraldine Martin, nee Rush, beloved wife of Maurice, devoted mother of Jerome, Muriel and Benjamin, dear daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rush, fond sister of Francis and Ambrose Rush.  Funeral Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 9:15 a. m., from funeral home, 3026 Belmont avenue, to St. John Berchmans church.  Interment St. Joseph’s cemetery.  Information, Jun. 4200.”
