“Mrs. Vogt passed away at the home of her son, Robert, last Friday evening.  The funeral was held Monday from the Catholic church.”

According to the Daily Sentinel (Woodstock IL) Monday, June 13, 1977, page 8:

“BERNARD W. VOGT – ANTIOCH – Bernard W. Vogt, 70, Camp Lake, Wis., died Thursday, June 9, in Kenosha Memorial Hospital, Kenosha, Wis.  He was born July 10, 1906, in Fremont Center, and moved to Camp Lake four years ago.  He farmed in the Round Lake area for many years.  Survivors are his widow, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Joe) Weidman, Salem, Wis.; a granddaughter, Keri; a brother, Edward Vogt, Island Lake; and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Benwell, Round Lake.  Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Strang funeral home, Antioch, with burial in Warren cemetery.”

According to the McHenry Plaindealer (McHenry IL) Thursday, March 31, 1966, page 6:

“ROBERT A. VOGT – A funeral Mass was sung Tuesday morning in St. Mary’s church for Robert A. Vogt, 83, of 3415 N. Riverside drive, McHenry, who died Saturday, March 26.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Mr. Vogt was pronounced dead on arrival at Victory Memorial hospital, Waukegan.  The deceased was born in Germany Nov. 18, 1882, and came to this country as a small child.  He had lived most of his life in this area, where he was a dairy farmer.  Mr. Vogt was a member of St. Mary’s Holy Name society.  His wife, Anna, died in 1945.  He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Verne (Verona) Roberts, Mrs. Robert (Roslyn) Anderson and Mrs. John (Anamae) Bockrath of Gurnee, Mrs. Harold (Lillian) Blomstrom and Mrs. Ruth Jones of Waukegan and Mrs. Edward (Emily) Cook of DesPlaines; a son, Robert, of McHenry; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Rose Rosing of Antioch.  Three sons preceded him in death.  The body rested at the George R. Justen and Son funeral home until the time of last rites.”

According to the Daily Sentinal (Woodstock IL) Friday, November 15, 1968, page 12:

“MRS. ROSE ROSING – ANTIOCH – Funeral Mass for Mrs. Rose J. Rosing, 83, 1007 S. Main Street, Antioch, formerly of Volo, who died Wednesday in St. Therese Hospital, Waukegan, will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Antioch.  Burial will be in Mount Carmel cemetery, Antioch.  Friends May call in the Strang funeral home, Antioch, after 3 p.m. today, where prayers will be recited at 8 o’clock tonight.  Mrs. Rosing was born on Nov. 12, 1885 in Volo.  She and her husband, William A., who preceded her in death, operated a grocery store in Volo and Round Lake.  They moved to Antioch in 1915.  Also preceding her in death were eight brothers and sisters.  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Hilma) Lightsey; a son, Herman; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.  Contributions in her name can be made to St. Peter’s building fund.”

According to the Waukegan Daily Sun (Waukegan IL) Tuesday, April 23, 1901, page 2:

“On Wednesday, April 10, 1901, at the home of Father Rhode in Freemont (sic), occurred the marriage of Miss Abbie Converse and Mr. Joseph Vogt.  Miss Rose Vogt and Mr. Paul Vogt, brother and sister of the groom, acting as bride’s maid and best man.  The wedding dinner was given by the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Jane Converse, only immediate relatives present.  Those present were: Mrs. Elam Converse and daughter Francis of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. George Wicks, Grayslake; Mr. and Mrs. Mat Glosson; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Paddock; Mr. and Mrs. John Walton and family; Messrs. Paul, Robert and Frank Vogt; Mr. Charles Smith and daughter Cora, Hebron, Ill.  The next day after the wedding they moved to their home on the Mullen farm near Wauconda.  Their many friends wish them a happy and prosperous journey through life.  They received many beautiful and useful presents.”

“Messrs. And Mesdames John Glosson, Joseph Glosson, William Glosson, George Glosson, Edward Tonyan and Walter Freund paid their final respects Joseph Vogt at the McGillis funeral home in Round Lake Wednesday evening.  Mr. Vogt, brother of Robt Vogt of McHenry, died in a Lake Villa nursing home Monday of last week.”
