According to the Chicago Tribune (Chicago IL) Friday, December 7, 1951, page 52:

“THOMPSON – Hilda Thompson, beloved wife of the late George M., fond mother of Charles T., Martin G., Marie Mortensen, Edward J., Helen Christiansen (sic), and Alice F. Zak, also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Services Saturday, 2 p. m., at funeral home, 3301 Fullerton avenue.  Interment Mount Olive.”

According to the Reno Gazette-Journal (Reno NV) Wednesday, March 17, 1993, page 15:

“Alice Fern Thompson Zak
Illinois native
   Alice Fern Thompson Zak, 87, died March 15, 1993 at Life Care Center of Reno.  A native of Chicago, she was born Jan. 28, 1905, and had lived in Reno for the past 12 years, coming from San Jose, Calif., where she lived for 10 years.  She had also lived in Round Lake, Ill., for 20 year.  Mrs. Zak was a homemaker.  Her husband, Anthony John, died in 1968 and she was preceded in death by her parents, George Martin and Helga Petersen Thompson.  Surviving is a daughter, Bonita A. Brand of Truckee, Calif.  A memorial service is schedule for 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Reno.  A funeral with burial at Fort Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date in Grayslake, Ill.  Local arrangements are under the direction of Northern Nevada Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.”
