“Dorothy Roberta Ash, 72, Brookfield, died Sunday, June 1 1997, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born June 27, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of Raymond and Fayola (Shattuck) Lake. She married Donald Wallace Ash Oct. 22, 1949. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1981.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Robert and Debbie Ash of Brookfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mike Ladewig of Zion, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother Bud Lewis, of Fresno, Calif.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Laurie and Walter Mortz of Thousand Palms, Calif., and Donna and Gary Pierce of Chaska, Minn., and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a son-in-law.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 1997, at Meadville Cemetery with Father Tom Duggan officiating. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 1997 at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 that evening.”

“RAYMOND LAKE – McHENRY – Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock this morning in the Strang Funeral Home, Grayslake, for Raymond Lake, 54, of 7105 Mohawk drive, Wonder Lake, who died Friday in McHenry Hospital. Burial was in Fort Hill cemetery near Round Lake.
He was born March 20, 1910 in Chicago and had resided at Round Lake for 13 years before coming to Wonder Lake 12 years ago.
He is survived by his widow, Fayola; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Ash, North Chicago, Mrs. Walter (Lovie) Mrotz, McHenry, and Mrs. Gary (Donna Rae) Pierce, Wonder Lake; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Anthony and Frank, and a sister Mrs. May Kosinski, all of Chicago.”
