According to the Pantagraph (Bloomington IL) Tuesday, January 4, 1938, page 6:

“Mrs. Wilhelmina Ramlow. – LINCOLN. – The funeral for Mrs. Wilhelmina Ramlow, 81, who died at 4:35 p. m. Sunday at her home near Hartsburg, will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday from the Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. Paul Brockhaus officiating.  A brief service will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Sheets funeral home.  Burial will be in Union cemetery.  The body will remain at the funeral home until the hour of the funeral at the church.  Mrs. Ramlow was born June 4, 1856 in Germany.  Her husband, August Ramlow Sr., died six years ago.  Surviving are the following children: August and John Ramlow, Lincoln; Mrs. Lousie Hummels and Mrs. Matilda Skonetski, Dwight; Fred Ramlow, Chicago, and Frank and Carl Ramlow, Hartsburg.”

According to the Tampa Tribune (Tampa FL) Saturday, February 8, 1992, page 80:

“LOUISE MAY NAVARRO, 71, OF Riverview died Thursday at Humana Hospital Brandon.  A native of Illinois, she had lived in the Tampa Bay area six years, coming from Illinois.  She was a homemaker and a Protestant.  She is survived by her husband, Bonifaco, and one brother, Fred Ramlow of Riverview.  Hamilton Funeral Home, Riverview.”

According to the Chicago Tribune (Chicago IL) Sunday, November 16, 1969, page 401:

   “Decorated with the air medal for duty while in Viet Nam was Frederick Ramlow Jr., an air force technical sergeant and the son of Mrs. Mamie Ramlow, 7184 Hillendale dr., Round Lake.
   Sgt. Ramlow, an inflight refueling operator was cited for his outstanding airmanship and courage on missions completed under hazardous conditions.
   He now is assigned to a unit of the Strategic Air command stationed at Kincheloe air force base, Mich.”

According to the Tampa Tribune (Tampa FL) Sunday, August 10, 2003, page 31:

“RAMLOW, Frederick “Fred” Jr., 73, of Riverview passed away August 7, 2003.  He is survived by his wife, Joann; sons, Frederick Bryon of Brandon and Derek of Riverview and four grandchildren.  Mr. Ramlow served in the US Air Force for 27 years and owned Sunrise Auto in Riverview for 25 years.  A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday evening from the Gibsonton United Methodist Church, 6104 Marilla Ave. with Reverend Wayne Kato officiating.

“August Ramlow – LINCOLN – (PNS) – August Ramlow, 82, of 1103 Short Eighth, Lincoln, died at 1:05 p. m. Monday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since July.  He was taken to the Holland and Barry Funeral Hoe pending funeral arrangements.  Mr. Ramlow, a retired employee of Central Illinois Electric and Gas Co., had served as a member of the City Council as alderman from the sixth ward and for a number of years was a justice of peace in West Lincoln Township.  He was born in Germany, Dec. 2, 1878, a son of August and Wilhelmina Stolzenberg Ramlow.  He married Matilda Moldenhauer Nov. 20, 1902, in Lincoln.  Surviving are his wife; two sons, Paul, Kirkwood, Mo.; Elmer, Lincoln; two daughters. Mrs. Henry Gaydosh, Mrs. Alvin Schmidt, both of Lincoln; four brothers, Fred, Chicago; Frank, John and Carl, Lincoln; 13 grandchildren and eight-great grandchildren.  Mr. Ramlow was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.”

“William Ramlow – LINCOLN, April 10. – The death of William Ramlow, former resident of Lincoln, occurred Monday night in Chicago following injuries sustained Sunday night while at work in a Chicago laundry.  He was scalded so badly when a boiler exploded that death followed soon after.  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. August Ramlow of Lincoln and besides the parents the following brothers and sisters survive: John and August Ramlow, Lincoln; Fred Ramlow, New Holland; Carl Ramlow, Hartsburg; Frank Ramlow, Ransome; Mrs. W. S. Konetski and Mrs. Casson Hummel of Dwight.  Two daughters, Emily and Ella, reside in Chicago.”

“Frank Ramlow – ATLANTA – Frank J. Ramlow, 83, a retired farmer, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.  His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln.  The rev. Don Beckman will officiate.  Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.  He was born March 13, 1893, at Hallsville, the son of August and Wilhelmina Stolzenberg Ramlow.  Mr. Ramlow was an Army veteran of World War I.  Surviving are a brother, John, Lincoln and several nieces and nephews.  Seven sisters and six brothers preceded him in death.  Memorial may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln, or to the American Cancer Society.”

“John Ramlow – LINCOLN (PNS) – The funeral of John Henry Ramlow, 83, who died Wednesday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Rev. Warren Freiheit officiating.  Burial will be in Union Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Holland and Barry Funeral Home, and from an hour before the service at the church.  He was born May 12, 1895, in DeWitt County, a son of August and Wilhelmina Stolzenburg Ramlow.  He married Katherine E. Stuan June 29, 1918, in Lincoln.  She survives.  Also surviving are six sons, Henry, Lima, Ohio; Emil, New Holland; Relph, Scotts, Mich.; Richard, Richard, Round Lake Beach; John William, Lincoln; and Virgil, Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Lorna Wilson, Lincoln, and Clara Stewart, Lake Fork; 27 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.  Five brother, two sisters, a son and a grandson preceded him in death.  He was a retired machinist from Caterpillar Tractor Co and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, to which memorials may be made.”

“Carl Ramlow – LINCOLN (PNS) – Carl W. Ramlow, 70, of 704 Second, Lincoln, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital following a long illness.  His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Emhe Osterbur officiating.  Burial will be in Union Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 7-9 tonight at Holland and Barry Funeral Home, and at the church at noon Friday.  Mr. Ramlow was born March 12, 1897 in De Witt County, a son of August and Wilhelmine Stoltzenburg Ramlow.  He married Lena Skonetski, July 16, 1919, at Emden.  Surviving are his wife; two sons, Carl C. and Donald, both of Lincoln; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ackerman, Mrs. Lena Ingram, all of Lincoln; Mrs. Martha Mosier, New Holland; three brothers, Fred Ramlow, Chicago, Frank and John Ramlow, both of Lincoln; a niece Emily Strampp, Lincoln who was reared in the Ramlow home; and 15 grandchildren.  Mr. Ramlow was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Laborers Local Union.”
